MAB Corporation (MAB) announces a $1 billion residential development, at Docklands. The Parkland Precinct at NewQuay will deliver a five hectare residential and parkland area along Victoria's harbour - approximately equivalent in area to Albert Park's St Vincent Place.

Victoria Harbour selected for newly launched Climate Positive Development Program

Victoria Harbour, an urban regeneration project was announced today as one among 16 founding projects of the Climate Positive Development Program, a Clinton Climate Initiative (CCI) program that will support the development of large-scale urban projects that demonstrate cities can grow in ways that are "climate positive." Climate Positive real estate developments will strive to reduce the amount of on-site CO2 emissions to below zero.

Route 48 Extended to Victoria Harbour

Route 48 (North Balwyn-Docklands) will be changed to travel via Collins Street instead of Flinders Street, and extended to Victoria Harbour, Docklands from September 2009.

Southern Star Rectification Program Commences

Freestyle BMX Australia announces the 2009 Rockstar Energy Drink BMX Games presented by Strictly BMX

Australia's biggest freestyle BMX competition will enter it's sixth year in 2009 and is putting on the largest scale BMX Games in the events history. Taking place over the Australia Day long Weekend, the 2009 Rockstar Energy Drink BMX Games presented by Strictly BMX, has more than three hundred Australian and International competitors wheeling their way down to Melbourne's Docklands and battling it out over Park, Flatland and Dirt BMX disciplines.
