Municipal Services

The Docklands community can now benefit from the City of Melbourne’s expertise in managing and delivering key local government services. After more than four years of planning and working together, the municipal authority of Melbourne Docklands transferred from VicUrban to the City of Melbourne on 1 July 2007. VicUrban continues its role as the agency responsible for the development of Docklands.

Residents and business owners are now able to participate in Melbourne's local government elections.

VicUrban and the City of Melbourne are working together on a range of strategies and plans for the ongoing support and growth of Docklands.
